Ketchup Cartesian Diver

The cartesian diver is a classic experiment for illustrating buoyancy and the ideal gas law. However, students and teachers can find it fiddly to invert the test tube into the top of the bottle without losing all of the water. So instead, use a ketchup sachet (which contains a small pocket of air) – it works just as well!
